My Story

Hi everyone! Tun Yong here.

I was previously a Contributing Writer at Fintech News Singapore, analysing fintech developments across Southeast Asia and sharing my thoughts on them.

​

Before that, I was on the Growth & Strategy team at Finantier, leveraging fintech to accelerate financial inclusion for the unbanked in Southeast Asia.

​

Previously, I lived out my childhood dream of being a Journalist by exploring the Southeast Asian tech startup ecosystem with e27.

Additionally, I volunteered at EDGE as a Content Manager and started an interview series with youth entrepreneurs in Singapore to share about their journey.

​

Satisfying my entrepreneurship itch, I co-founded CodeBud, an on-demand and affordable platform that connects novice coders to CS students and developers for help with their most pressing technical questions. While a failed venture, learnt a tonne of lessons along the way.

​

If you cannot tell by now, I do enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts on different topics! That was the primary motivation behind this site - a personal collection of my work to share with others while reflecting on it myself.​
